DMCA Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
1. Overview
Stills in Motion LLC (“HelioSnap,” “we,” “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the service to do the same. This policy explains how to report content uploaded to HelioSnap that you believe infringes your copyright, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
2. Designated Copyright Agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our designated agent:
Stills in Motion LLC — Copyright Agent
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice
3. What to Include in a Takedown Notice
To be effective, your notice must include, in writing:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it on HelioSnap (e.g. the room access code, event name, or a direct link if you have one)
- Your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
Incomplete notices may not receive a response. We are not obligated to act on notices that don't substantially comply with these requirements.
4. What Happens After a Valid Notice
Upon receiving a complete and valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified content and make a reasonable effort to notify the Moderator or Guest who uploaded it.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe content you uploaded was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address above. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., an appropriate judicial district) and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the original complaining party informs us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringer from engaging in the infringing activity.
6. Repeat Infringers
We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, disable or terminate the account of a Moderator or Guest who is the subject of repeated, valid infringement notices.
